The preparation for the Chinese New Year Festival on January 28, 2017 is already in full swing. On 11 October was the official kick-off in the city hall of The Hague. On behalf of the Municipality of The Hague Vice-Mayor Karsten Klein received several people who are directly involved in the organization of the 15th nationwide celebration of the Chinese New Year in The Hague. Among them the president of the organizing committee, Ms. Zhang Qiuyue, and representatives of the Chinese embassy, including Mr. Sun Guoshun (legal counsellor) and Mr. Yang Xiaolong (cultural secretary). Also present were representatives of the Association Netherlands – China and the Foundation Chinese Cultural Events Netherlands and The Hague municipality.
